The Johnstown Chiefs were the inspiration for the Paul Newman movie "Slap Shot", and were home to the Carlson brothers,
who became the Hanson brothers in the film. The Chiefs team also filled roles in the hockey game portrayed in "Sudden Death", a Jean Claude Van Damme movie.
